Sunday lazyness
February 26, 2007
Ahh lazy Sunday!
With a paper for Laval Virtual 07 on it’s way to completion (it’s looking good), a very busy week behind me and another busy week ahead of me, Sunday was “holy day” for being a lazy ass.
I hadn’t played piano for maybe more than two weeks now and It was time to take advantage of living in a Heim with four music rooms. All was going well, until I started singing.
So this next week brings promise of even more excitement. Sure, it will be a hell of excitement when I *finally* receive some letter from Acer telling how much they’re charging for fixing my laptop.
Now I’m not feeling so well, anyway… must have been something I ate.
The Ancient Struggle

Well, since I haven’t written much on my blog lately, here’s some candy for you, faithful reader. Enjoy!
Ungrateful machine
February 5, 2007
My Acer Travelmate died last Saturday. What an ungrateful machine!
I always installed the best programs, wrote the best code, transported it in the best bags… not even two years in my service and it simply died. As far as I could figure out, something went wrong with the power circuitry. So now I’m backing up stuff from the hard drive and surviving through a couple of PortableApps (especially Thunderbird) installed on my USB drive.
It’s not fair for a nerd to be separated from his PC like this!
At least I’ve got some nice books to read:
- Greenfield, A. – Everyware: The Dawning Age of Ubiquitous Computing – ISBN 0321384016
- Sterling, B. – Shaping Things (Mediaworks Pamphlets) – ISBN 0262693267
- Moggridge, B. – Designing Interactions – ISBN 0262134748
